K-PAC (3-2-1) Warranty Policy and Procedure

1. Warranty
K-PAC, a Division of Plum Creek Environmental, expressly warranties each new product manufactured by it to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 3 years structural, 2 years parts and 1 year labor from date of invoice from K-PAC to the original retail purchaser.
K-PAC's obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing and/or replacing, at its discretion, any part or parts within the applicable warranty period, as set out above, which shall be returned by the customer to K-PAC, and which shall be evaluated to confirm that part is defective.
K-PAC may, at its discretion, elect to grant adjustments in the field through an authorized K-PAC representative and may thereby elect to waive the requirement that parts be returned to K-PAC. All claims shall be processed through the K-PAC warranty procedure.
A new warranty period is not established for replacement parts. Replacement parts are warrantied for the remaining portion of the original warranty period. Parts not manufactured by K-PAC must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications in order to be covered under warranty.
The provisions of this warranty do not apply to any product or parts which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, or which have been repaired or altered outside of K-PAC’s factory can void warranty. Warranty does not apply to normal wear parts, or to normal deterioration due to wear and exposure. Also, ancillary additions, which include enclosures, steel options, etc, are not covered under our compactor 3-2-1 warranty.
Any replacement part sold by K-PAC shall be warrantied for thirty (30) days from date of invoice or shipment. No credit for labor cost will be allowed under this warranty if the part, upon our inspection, proves to be non-defective.
This warranty expressly supersedes other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose. K-PAC is not responsible for any obligations or liability for loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss or direct consequential, special or incidental damages.K-PAC warranties each new compactor to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of three (3) years structure, two (2) years components, one (1) year labor. The warranty period begins at time of invoice. Any warranty claim must be approved prior to any work being performed by the Director of Technical Service.
2. Warranty Claim Procedure
To file a warranty claim, the following steps must be followed:
Report the Issue:
Contact K-PAC Technical Support at warranty@plumcreeket.com or by calling 662-327-4183 ext. 117. You must provide the unit serial number and/or invoice number.
Troubleshooting:
An onsite contact must speak with a KPAC representative to troubleshoot and determine repairs.
Authorization:
If approved, K-PAC will issue a Warranty Authorization Number (WA#). Any repairs, part replacements, or modifications performed without a WA# from KPAC will immediately void the warranty in its entirety. This includes the use of non-KPAC approved service providers or parts.
All warranty work must be coordinated and approved by KPAC in advance to maintain warranty coverage.
Approved Service:
All work must be performed by K-PAC or a pre-approved K-PAC technician.
Repairs performed without prior authorization will not be reimbursed and may void the warranty.
3. Defective Part Return
- Certain components (e.g., cylinders, motors, valves) must be returned to KPAC within 30 business days from the date of request or the customer may be charged for the part.
- Return shipping instructions will be provided with the warranty approval.
- KPAC reserves the right to waive the return requirement.
- If a return is required and upon receipt and testing, the part is found non-defective:
- Customer will be responsible for the cost of the replacement part and will be invoiced/charged.
- If the part is confirmed to be defective:
- KPAC will cover return shipping and cost of replacement.
- If non-defective:
- Customer pays all associated shipping and diagnostic labor costs at $150/hour.
4. Refurbished Equipment Policy
- Warranty Terms: Six (6) months from invoice date, covering structures, components, parts, and labor.
5. Part Sales Warranty
- Coverage Duration: 30 days from invoice.
- Conditions: Excludes failures from improper installation, dirty hydraulic systems, or component failure.
- Diagnosis Requirement: May require system info (e.g., oil condition, filter status).
6. Freight Policy
- Standard Ground Shipping: Paid by K-PAC for approved warranty parts.
- Expedited Shipping: Paid by customer.
- Return Freight: Paid by K-PAC only if part is confirmed defective. If non-warrantable, customer pays all return freight + 25% restocking fee.
7. General Provisions
- Warranty claims only processed for accounts in good financial standing.
- K-PAC’s warranty excludes:
- Loss of use
- Production downtime
- Consequential damages
- This is the sole and exclusive warranty, superseding all others.

- Lack of Preventive Maintenance
- Misuse/accidents
- Hazardous waste disposal, spill clean-up
- Unauthorized modifications
- Aftermarket parts
- Units no longer owned by original purchaser
Structural:
- Wear items
- Caster, roller, door seal damage
Electrical:
- High voltage/power surges
- Fuses, bulbs
- Program enhancements
- Loose wires, sensor adjustments
Hydraulic:
- Contamination
- Hose wear, leaks, improper fitting
- Suction strainer/filter changes
- Heater/cooler additions
Definitions
- Structural: Welded metal components
- Parts: Installed machine components (non-wear)
- Labor: Hands-on time; excludes drive time
- Mileage: Actual miles (max 250); verification required
